Historic Calgary Week

Chinook Country Historical Society is pleased to present the 29th annual Historic Calgary Week (HCW) from July 26 through August 5, 2019, a collaborative history festival with more than 40 partner organizations.
Join us as we celebrate this year’s theme – Oh, the Fun we Had! - and the rich history, culture, and community of Calgary and area. With over 100 events, this will be the largest, most fun-filled Historic Calgary Week ever.
Enjoy walks, talks, concerts, sports, dancing, cinema, and explore museums, heritage buildings, cemeteries, parks, and libraries during Historic Calgary Week. All events are open to the public and most are free of charge. Donations are gratefully appreciated.

Discover historical treasures in our city by taking part in our History Hunt and challenge yourself with the HCW Crossword Puzzle that will appear in the Calgary Herald at the beginning of the festivities.
For full program details, please visit chinookhistory.ca or the CCHS Facebook page.
