New parking promotion at The Bay
The Bay Downtown is offering free weekend (Saturday, Sunday and Holiday) parking at the Bow Parkade when you purchase $25.00 or more upon presentation of your parking receipt. The $3.00 parking amount will be deducted off your purchase.
The CORE (TD Square & Holt Renfrew)
Calgary's only Downtown shopping centre has recently undergone a multi-million dollar renovation and includes a one-of-a-kind glass atrium ceiling. Stephen Avenue Walk (8 Avenue SW between 1 Street SE & 4 Street SW)
Stephen Avenue Walk is Calgary's only outdoor pedestrian mall. It spans from 1 Street SE to 4 Street SW along 8 Avenue. Fashion Central
The corner of Stephen Avenue Walk (8 Avenue SW) and 1 Street is at the hub of the cultural district where high volumes of office workers, retailers, and tourists enjoy restaurants, pubs and bars along the walk. Found in three downtown historical sites on the Walk (the Hull Block, Macnaghten Block and Alberta Block), Fashion Central's main focus is the display of unique, cutting edge fashion that can't be found in your local shopping malls. Art Central
Located at the corner of Centre Street & 7 Avenue SW, fashion and art collide in the restored downtown building that is also home to galleries, studios, and a café. One can find featured custom jewelry and clothing boutiques in close proximity to C-Trains and Plus 15s.
Chinatown
Chinatown provides another unique Downtown cultural experience. The Chinese Cultural Centre is the largest of its kind in North America and has a stunning domed ceiling that is patterned after the Temple of Heaven in Beijing. Complete your shopping and dining experiences at Dragon City Mall or any of the street level shops and restaurants.
Shopping Tools
Tourism Calgary has recently created a website tool for to help visitors search for shopping hot spots and enhance their shopping experience in the city. The website feature allows visitors to search more than 400 stores and three major shopping centres to create a personalized shopping itinerary.
