Community Garden
Come out and support the 5th Annual Downtown Calgary Community Garden - A Harvest with Heart.
Please join us for our 2013 garden planting party on Thursday May 16, 2013 from 10:30am until 1:00pm at our plots located on Barclay Mall (3rd Street SW) between 5th Avenue and 6th Avenue SW.
This project is a partnership between Downtown Calgary, the Calgary Drop-In & Rehab Centre (DI) and the Calgary Food Policy Counci and is designed to add vitality to the core, and give back to the community in a new and innovative way. Volunteers and DI staff will maintain the garden plots throughout the summer and DI Chef Glen Pereira will use the harvested items to feed low income and homeless Calgarians.
Keep your eyes peeled for more information on NEW “lunch and learn” events on gardening at the garden plots throughout the summer months.
